Ravelwood was founded in an effort to provide refurbished goods and services by way of reclaimed materials and a traditional toolset. We draw inspiration from a wealth of old American barnwoods, repurposed scraps and found or discarded objects. When a project allows, the materials are recycled from decrepit wooden structures, antique furniture and the like; the nature of the company pointing toward the high importance of reuse. When not recycled, we try to keep our materials local --- if not nearby then American-local. Founded in 2014, Ravelwood draws from generations of woodworking knowledge. From leatherwork to cabinetmaking, wooden spoons to timberframe houses, no project is too fine or too grand!
Many projects are custom made to order, so if you like something you see or even have a project idea of your own, check out our 'Contact Us' page for shop hours and contact info. Availability of specific reclaimed woods and leather scraps may vary. If you've got some materials of your own you'd like to turn into a piece, upload a few photos by email along with your project intentions --- we'll get right down to it.
We appreciate your future business.
Yours,
